Fittingly named ‘green’ in Te Reo, this brand-new private hospital is located in Auckland’s Greenlane. Kākāriki Hospital is set to transform elective surgery with its state-of-the-art private facility opening in 2024. With 20 beds, four digital operating theatres, consulting suites, and a fully equipped commercial kitchen, the hospital offers a wide range of surgical specialties including paediatrics, ENT, orthopaedics, spine and neurosurgery, plastics, general surgery, breast surgery, and urology.
The project, managed by RCP, converted a former office building into this cutting-edge medical facility, overcoming significant challenges like limited floor-to-ceiling space through innovative solutions.
The hospital’s opening will provide much-needed capacity to Auckland’s healthcare system, alleviating pressure on public hospitals and ensuring better treatment options for the general public. Additionally, Kākāriki Hospital will house other private doctors across two floors, creating a comprehensive health hub.
Every detail has been meticulously planned, including the installation of Supreme Diamond-V hand dryers in the bathrooms, which are compact, efficient, and perfect for smaller bathroom spaces.
As Auckland welcomes this new facility, Kākāriki Hospital stands as a testament to innovation, resilience, and the commitment to improving healthcare for all.
