Construction is well underway for Palmerston North’s Central Energy Trust Wildbase Recovery. The new centre is dedicated to aid injured wildlife back to health, and facilitates purpose built aviaries and a physiotherapy ward. The public will be able to visit the birds while they recover before they are released back into the wild.
The centre has received a lot of support from businesses in the community as well as the Rotary and Lions clubs who have been huge support in fundraising. $5.6m has been raised so far, leaving them only $100,000 away from reaching their target to complete on budget.
SPL are thrilled to be a part of this project, and have contributed by donating ‘Supreme Diamond’ Hand Dryers, a compact and robust hand dryer with a unique designer look that uses only 300W to dry hands fast.
“We are impressed with the wonderful work and contribution by all concerned to build such a sanctuary in New Zealand for our ill and injured native wildlife to rehabilitate” – Fiona Stares, Director – SPL Ltd
